Privacy policy

Cat and Seek (“we”, “us”) is a puzzle game for Android, published on Google Play (package games.mathe).
This policy explains what the game collects, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have.
We do not sell your personal data.
What we collect

Our servers also keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the service secure and working.
Who helps us run the game
- Google: Google Play (distribution and install source), Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging (push), AdMob (ads), BigQuery and Google Ads (measuring our ad campaigns). See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
- Amazon Web Services: our servers and database (United States).
- Cloudflare: domain name service.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect the game and its players from fraud or abuse.
Ads and your choices
- In the EU, UK and Switzerland, and in US states with privacy laws, Google’s consent form asks for your choice before personalised ads. You can change it any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices in the game.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads).
- Turn streak reminders off in Settings → Remind me, or block notifications in Android settings.
Children
Cat and Seek is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, contact us and we will delete their data.
How long we keep data
We keep your game data for as long as it is needed to provide the game. Analytics and crash data are kept according to Google Firebase’s retention settings. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it. Email us with your Player ID (shown at the bottom of the game’s Settings screen) so we can find your record (see how to delete your data). Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and our servers and database are access-controlled.
Changes
We will update this page when the game changes how it uses data, and change the date at the top.
